Candles have been used for light and to illuminate man's celebrations for more than 5,000 years. During December, many celebrations involve lighting candles. Here are some candle problems for you to consider:
Jackson lights a candle at 2:00 and it burns until 5:00. How many hours did his candle burn? Explain your solution.
A Kinara is a candle holder used to celebrate Kwanzaa. A Kinara has 7 candles. The Jones family lit all but two candles on their Kinara. How many candles did they light?
