What's the chance of more snow?
Early Childhood:
Make a class tally chart or line plot to show how many days of snow you predict we will have before spring. Use the data from the graph to compare and contrast the predictions of your class.
Upper Elementary:
Make a class line plot to show how many more inches (including fractions of an inch) of snow you predict will arrive before spring. Display the data on the line plot in fractions of an inch (1/2, ¼…) and whole inches, based on the predictions of your classmates. Then find the difference between the largest and smallest predictions, or your range of data.
Middle School:
Adrian and Mark are planning to go snowboarding next week. The weather forecast predicts a 65% chance of snow each of the four days they have set aside for snowboarding. What is the probability that it will snow at least one day next week?
